A field trip for Field Ops
We all know the importance of keeping an activity log on scene. We have also learned from experience how difficult it can be when you are hit from all sides with important events. I was asked to write a simple program called "EMA Logger" that will let a user timestamp and record an event with minimal effort. We used it at this event for the first time. Here is a screenshot:
and here is the log file from the event (unedited, mistakes, spelling errors and all). If you would like to try out the program, you can download it here
The simplest way to run it is:- download the file to your desktop
- create a new file on your desktop named logger.bat
- edit this file to say: java Logger
- save and exit and when you double click it should launch the application
